What are connections?

Connections let you link your Tandem account with other users. Once connected, you can watch each other’s tasks and stay in sync on shared work — without tasks leaving your own list.

Connecting with someone

Every Tandem user has a unique connect link. Share yours and when someone opens it, they can send you a connection request. You’ll see the request in your notifications and can accept or ignore it. Connections are mutual — both people see each other once accepted.

Watching tasks

Once connected, you can watch specific tasks belonging to your connections. Watched tasks appear in your task list alongside your own, so you can track progress without being the owner. This is useful for:
  • Keeping an eye on a task that’s blocking your own work
  • Staying updated on something a colleague is handling
  • Shared accountability on goals

Notifications

When a task you’re watching is completed or updated, you’ll receive a notification in Tandem. Notifications appear in the top bar and can be dismissed once read.

Managing connections

From Settings → Connections you can see all your active connections and pending requests. Remove a connection at any time — this also removes any task watches between you.

Coming soon

Deeper collaboration features — shared projects, task assignment, and group workflows — are on the roadmap.
