What is Tree View?

Tree View shows your entire task list as a hierarchy — tasks nested under their project, initiative, or chain — in a sortable, filterable table. It’s the fastest way to get a cross-cutting view of everything you’re working on. Access it from the navigation bar (the tree icon).

The hierarchy

Rows are organized from top to bottom:
Click any row’s expand arrow to show or hide its children.

Columns

Click any column header to sort by that column. Click again to reverse the sort. Click a third time to remove the sort.

Filtering

Use the filter bar at the top to narrow by:
  • Initiative — show only tasks under a specific initiative
  • Project — show only tasks in a specific project
  • Chain — show only tasks in a specific chain
Combine multiple filters to drill into exactly the work you want to see.

Column visibility

Click the Columns button to show or hide individual columns. Your visibility settings persist across sessions.

Inline editing

Click any cell to edit it directly without opening the full task detail panel:
  • Task title — rename the task
  • Project name — rename the project
  • Initiative name — rename the initiative

Drag to nest or unnest

Drag a task row onto a different project or initiative to reassign it. A confirmation dialog shows exactly what will change before anything is saved.

Archived content

Toggle Show archived to include archived projects and initiatives in the tree. Archived items are visually dimmed.
